As I've confessed before... I'm defintely a brass man!

But even though I do like to keep the prettier pieces, I still manage to get some to the yard... 400-something pounds last year. Latest price $1.85, down from $2 even this time last year.

Sirscrapalot - Better to be smart brass, then a dumb brass.

I love it even more when there's still copper on em. And best of all when my plumber neighbor drops four lovely heaters in my driveway with shiny copper hair on top!

And he always leaves the relief valves, too.

I like copper to, but..I can find it anywhere. Can't say the same for brass. Only sure places I know to find it our, here, and water heaters. An the first one ain't worth much metal wise since the yard frowns if you try to scrap forum members.

I got the same deal with my plumber guy, cept I go get them. Free heaters make me happy, specially when in groups of more then 2.

Sirscrapalot - I highly dislike laptops. Seriously.

    I love brass.

You find a lot of it painted now that it's no longer the "in style" in home decor. LOL
