    used litho film

Checked the previous posts to see if anyone might know who refines this for the silver content. I have a guy who has a large quantity available, but wanted to know the recovery rate. I'm going to do some searching, but wanted to see if anyone knew offhand. Thanks in advance

edit: I know that x ray film has a small percent of silver, but this was used from a printing company

There are numerous buyers, check locally the same companies that buy x-ray film will buy litho film. You can also call large costume printers and find out who they sell to, dentist offices might be able to help or just google! You have to remove all paper and make sure to scrap the litho plates (thin aluminum sheets) very good money!

If you have enough they will come pickup for a better price than that. Also try to store in a dark and dry area. (don't expose to hot sun). I'm sure you know this, but for those that don't - A silver recycling item as is X-ray film.

Yeah I use to work for a company that did NDT (non destructive testing) and one of the main methods used was Radiography. We always had to load our film in a dark room to make sure the film wasn't exposed to any light. We had a couple guys load them wrong and didn't realize it until after taking it out of the "cassette" (case) and developing it.

There were a couple buyers here. There's also a few over at GRF, as they refine them.

    Good luck

Hey sirs. do I get a cold one for taking you over that impressive number. Seriously well deserved you keep this place a fun and engaging place. I will toast you with another Appleton Estate Rum and Coke, it's what I'm having tonight and should do good on a Carolina sandbar.

Litho film sold 9.5 pound for $2.35 today, so $2.37 was a good price.
