I would check your state law, because they are most likely breaking it by not taking the stripped ones. Here in Michigan, the manufacturers have to take them back.
call and ask a manager to confirm. I've had trouble with employees being wrong before.
goodwill stopped taking them here. I've given up on them all together.
So I called another best buy like 10 mins further away and they said they don't have a problem with it as long as the back is on and below 32 inches
Funny thing is I took 3 up there a couple days before they said no. I still might try and drop some off. They said the wanted components so that mean the circuit board intact to me.
