Any tips on scrapping a 2001 Pontiac Montana?

So I have a chance to buy a 2001 Pontiac Montana minivan, curb weight of 3,730. Has aluminum wheels! She has had offers of 180 and 250 but she would need to get title for those, so if I can offer 200 she'd probably take it. It still runs and drives but needs radiator, interior is trashed, and rear suspension is pretty shot. It's registered still so it can be driven to my house which is only a few minutes up the road.

So basically, $200-$250 is a good price, right? I don't have a car trailer so I can't just haul it in as-is, plus I do ebay car part selling so that will be more $$, since I always price them below all the competition to sell it quick. Also, I've never scrapped a car before, so what would be the best way to bring in the body and frame, just cut them up into manageable pieces? Title isn't required if it is cut up at the yards I go to.



Last question, what should I do with the windows if I can't sell them? Do glass places that do car window repairs take them/buy them?

I don't know much about cars, but I know that catalytic converters on those vans are worth big bucks. They are the most stolen converters in my area.

I was just gonna add that question to the thread, what kind does it have? I looked it up and it came up with a few articles of them being stolen.
Do you know what kind? I have a friend that is a cat buyer so I can sell it quick and easy and he comes to me.

the cat is going to be either a $100 large breadloaf or a $5 aftermarket.

since your going to strip it right down I would check to see if the following are in good condition/work

front and rear wiper motors
headlights
tail lights
hatch
hood
doors
power sliding door mechanisms if it has a power sliding door
air bags
grills (honeycomb part tends to break on those vans)

I'll post some pics within the next few days. Shaun, everything works on it, no idea on grill, but both power doors work still, doors are pretty good, hood has a dent in the front I think, its a decent van but I haven't really looked at the rear suspension to see how bad it is. I read that sometimes its just the air shocks that go and that would be an easy fix.

easy but not cheap if you replace with air, although you can go with a gas shocks and zip tie the load level arm up and pull the air fuse

Thanks shaun, you seem to know alot about them. If I have any questions I'll definitely ask you haha I didn't know they were special shocks, but again I haven't looked it over real good. and Sparrow, I've got a pretty good buyer so that will be great if I can get half my money back just off that. And since the engine and tranny are good I should fare pretty well. Fingers crossed!

They have a small air compressor that keeps the air shocks pumped up, my daughters had an air leak and the compressor would kick in every minute.

sometimes the compressors will even kick in with the vehicle off, easy fix for that is installing a relay on the power line triggered by an acc power wire

If you take a wire brush and find the engraved number on the wide side of that loaf I can tell you what its worth. Most Montana's come with a $130-$180 bread loaf, definetly do not take regular bread loaf price for it.
