    Scrap Metal Sponsorship???

I was at a auction scouting out possible purchases. Their was a lot of stuff there. I was bidding away and this guy is paying 2 to 3 times what I am paying for iron. I went and talked to him about it and he said his yard "Big Daddy Scrap" (In Chicago Heights) had him on a sponsorship. And they were paying him just under $500 a ton. How could their be any money made here. Not sure if the guy was just being a Jack Wagon or if he was actually getting 25 cents a pound for iron/shred/steel.

    I want a sponsorship.

I wouldn't doubt it as alum. runs about .60 lb and copper runs from .60 up to 2.50 lb.

I'm sorry I have to reword that post. He said 25 cents a pound for iron. The part about copper and aluminum was just background info

    A. The guy was BS'n ya
    B. The "Sponsor" is an idiot
    C. Your bids were too weak for that specific auction, if someone is there overpaying, let them.
