What do you do with excess strap length?

Just wondering what other scrapers who use straps do with the excess 20 feet of strap.

    Here's what I do:

    Sometimes this:

And I have a smaller one with a orange bag for the excess. Like this one.

I've heard there is a way to "braid" them. Anyone out there know how that's done?

The worst thing is loosing the excess and running over it.

I try to wrap the straps around stuff if I can...takes up the slack and adds more stability

    I either:
    A. Pull them into the vehicle on my trailer and close them in the doors
    B. If I'm hauling scrap that is not a vehicle, I tuck them into my which box and close the lid.

What do you do with excess strap length?

sometimes I use cheap zip ties. .05 is a lot cheaper than a strap.

I also like to tie it around stuff Luke someone else said.

a farmer I know does your first one sometimes.

velco, reusable.. can pick up an 82' roll for about $19 and it'll last a couple years. cut off lengths as you need them and re-use them until they wear out, then cut another off the roll. Not my listing but this is where I get it from.

I do a pretzel knot so the excess doesn't run onto the road to be run over by the trailer tire.
