    I pop off the gold connector with a flat head screwdriver. I don't even remove it from the computer mount.

    They are lo grade brown boards with out the pins. Not worth the time in my opinion.



    Question:
    Some floppy drives have green boards with IDE connection, They look like HDD boards or CD rom boards. I see about 1 out of every 20 floppy drives i find. Do these go for the same price as CD rom boards?

    I think you are referring to zip drives.

    NEC FZ110A Internal PC 3 5" Zip Drive IDE 100MB Beige ATAPI 134 507313 | eBay

    Like this one (not my auction) they have the same 50 pin IDE connector and the board looks just like a harddrive board too.

    Yes that is what they are. Thanks. Ive been saving the boards, I figure I can get CD rom price for them. I haven't seen anything on buyers pages about Zip drives though.
