Storage Auctions Pay Off and I like Storage Battles!

Happy Thanksgiving! It's been a while but I wanted to share how I've enjoyed StorageBattles.com-the online abandoned storage unit auction company! It's cool to see the pictures and have the time to digest what you're seeing before you place a most sane bid and bid limit! Long story short, I scored a unit with 12 V-8 blocks, heads, pistons, crankshafts, radiators, battery cables (the pictures only showed 4 blocks!). After costs, I scored an 87% profit! Not bad, but this is what I wanted to share: It's soooo nice to get auctions online because I don't miss the smells of some (not all) of my bidders on those warm SoCali days-Phwew!!!! You deal with those smells at live auctions LOL!!!! Happy Hunting Scrappers! Get that metal where you can and make that money!

What do you want to bet that this is a marketing add for this website?

We purchase laptop computers and many components for greater than scrap value. We offer a shipping reimbursement program.replies

This man doesn't know how to do it.

With this one easy trick that the government doesn't want you to know about, I'm now making $63 per hour- from home!

    --------------------

If this is serious, the wording is a little.... off. I can't recall anyone talking about making "most sane bids" or using something that sounds like a corporate slogan- and not a very good one.

Now, scrappers, go out there and make that money!

Dude I'm from Cali! I went to high school with Jeff Spicoli.. lol! Seriously though, I've found a lot of scrappables (metal) in abandoned units and I just wanted to share that having time to look with this format can help your decision-making. It takes a bit of practice to get skilled at live auctions. If you decide to give live auctions a try, I recommend going to a bunch with NO money to get a feel for the game and to check out who your regular players are and how they deal. Only buy what you SEE and know how to move/sell it! Having a plan on all aspects of storage unit auctions (acquisition, sourcing, and disbursement) can help you all stay in the black!
P.S. I was in episode #92 of Storage Wars (got outbid)(15 seconds of fame!) and no, Dan Dotson is NOT my uncle!

Thank you for the web site. This just proves how technology will change scraping just as it has everything else. I see a day when curbco's will use their drone for pickups, fly directly to the scrap yards, hover in air in line, and drop the scrap in a pile. Your payment will be downloaded on your smartphone where you can order your pizza on line and watch your drone collide with the pizza drone trying to land first in the driveway. As you can see Thanksgiving dinners create nightmares.

I have purchased units from there before , it's a bad idea , you will get better deals at live auctions , they won't cancel you auction prematurely , you can smell the death stench in person and know not to buy the bad units . And your only competition is standing around you , not everyone in a tri state area where the auction lasts 12 days long , I got away from that site when they implemented a feature that extends auctions after they expire . Every bid in the final minutes extends the auction another 5 minutes .

I see this for what it is another attempt at sucking more money from your pocket and driving up bids . Not a we want a more lifelike auction experience that they tried to play it off as . Save some time money and headache . I find my local storage auctions on auctionzip and then decide which ones I will attend . The phone numbers are also listed so you can call that day and get a idea how many units they are auctioning off . Storage battles is a joke compared to being a a live auction .
