I recently found out (the hard way) it helps to deal with the same individuals at a yard sometimes. Took some power supplies in awhile back and got about $.15/lb. New / different guy last trip got shred price. I didn't put up much of an argument because I knew this trip wouldn't be $.15, I needed to make some room, and the other yard only pays shred, but I was hoping for better than shred. Point being, whenever you're talking grade / classification, sometimes it's not only the particular yard itself, it's different folks at the yard.

At the yards use, I do my best to only sell non ferrous when the non ferrous manager in on the scale. That way I am graded the same every time and he has the most authority to adjust pricing
