    Scrapping a newer car body

I have a Salvage 2006 Ford Mustang Convertible. I've called the local scrap yards but they won't come get it and I have to pay a towing company to remove it because I put the engine, trans and rear in my car. So now I have the car and need it gone but think I'd be best off scrapping it.
I've removed most of the useful parts except for the roof and some of the interior.
    1. Should I keep looking for someone to come get what's left?
    2. Should I strip everything that's not metal?
    3. Should I cut it up and scrap it myself? I don't own a torch.
    4. Should I put it online for sale?

Looking for thoughts because I really don't know what to do with it and the wife is getting P.O.d every time she drives by it.

Since it doesn't appear you are a scrapper your best bet is to google "cash for junk cars" or look in the scrap buyers and sellers section on this forum. You should be able to get rid of the car in a matter of days and possibly have a little extra money. If you have a truck, I'd suggest pulling the easy parts that are worth some money and taking them to the yard yourself.

Try putting a post in craigslist stating that you want a scrapper to come pick it up and you will split the proceeds with them.

A tow truck will put you back a lot of money, rent a car tower that latches under front tires and make sure back ones are good. Don't forget to put tail lights on it if u do it.

I sold the wheels, the drive train is in my Mustang, so that's the reason the scrappers don't want it, not enough weight to make it worth their while to come get it. Sorry JohnC4X4, Vernon, NJ.
The body is in great shape, the previous owner tried to move a tree with it. I bought it from a salvage auction, running. And I have a salvage title.
Think I'm going to try listing it on line.

List it for parts on craigslist, I listed an s10 for parts only since I didn't have a title, sold about $800 of parts off of it then sold the rest for $200 to a guy that wanted the body.

We purchase laptop computers and many components for greater than scrap value. We offer a shipping reimbursement program.replies

    I'm with Brandon.

Part it out as much as you can. If someone wants a door you'll get as much for that as you would at the yard. Then, you can cut it up or tow the remains in.
