I've even ranted about this, but with my experience, even a short span of lack of due diligence when grading and sorting cost me a 250 $ loss on my last 600 lb shipment.
With times such as they are with the market you must be on your toes daily. In the evening, tired as you are you must study the market trends and pricing, and this forum for tips. I can not afford a loss on a shipment and I'm sure neither can you.

Sorry to hear your loss always sucks to be in the red on a deal. I know I have made my mistakes in many jobs and holed many jobs but at the end of the year they wash themselves. Things happen we are human and in my personal opinion is don't sweat the small stuff learn from it and get the next one because if you worry about the last one you are not focused on the one in front of you.

I live on a farm, but thankfully, there are no cows. I hated that job! I'll drink the milk or put it on cereal, though. That's a lot easier!
