I've put together a nice little pile of motherboards, other PC boards, cell phones and other objects with gold pins on them lately. Never sold them before but gonna be try it out. Put an ad on craigslist for them earlier. Anybody have any tips to share to when it comes to selling them? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys and gals!

Becareful when posting anything on Craigs List - you'll get scammers and spammers.

I would highly recommend selling them to a buyer on here instead of on Craigslist. I seriously doubt you will get what they're worth that way...

What area are you located in ? Most of our buyers have their prices posted in the buyer sellers section .

I created an email account strictly for craigslist cause of the spammers. Easier than dealing with them clogging up my real email acct lol. I restore tables, shelves, etc and resell on there quite a bit so I'm used to that crap nowOriginally Posted by logansryche

Don't sell that stuff on Craigslist. Craigslist isn't for ewaste. Not unless your buying to sell to a buyer on this website or someone who deals with it normally.

i agree with the idea that forum buyers will pay more usually.
I don't see this as the type of stuff for Craigslist, but how much did it cost you to post it? Figure out what you can make if you ship it to a regular buyer. If someone will pay more than that, you've done well. If not, just send it to a buyer then.
If you have the time and patience, why not?

Yeah but when you get 18 emails from the same lady in a day trying to get your account information so her dead father's uncle can name you ruler, they still get annoying. I heavily agree with everyone that's posted thus far that sites like Craig's List, Facebook, Trade KEy, E-Steward's Marketplace, etc.. are good for buying but should sell to those here on the forum. You'll get the best bang for your buck and make a contact for the future.

There really is no good reason to sell on craigslist compared to selling to one of our buyers. I have sold to several of the buyers here and shipped to them from the coast of N.C.. Read the reviews on the forum and see the last time they were on the forum and the last time someone reviewed them.
Or you could contact one of the members on the forum who lives near you if you really don't want to ship. Mechanic688 comes to mind. By the way I grew up near Columbia City, In so I know you are well within driving distance of Cleveland(location of one of our buyers) although I would wait for a break in the weather. Mike

At least one buyer here will quote you a shipping rate before you send it. You basically just have to plug in the weight and package dimensions and get a fedex quote that you can choose to accept or otherwise reject and choose your own shipping method. All buyers will provide a price list, so once you know how much of an item you have (mobo's, etc.), then you can calculate your anticipated revenue. Net out the shipping and you know your net.
I agree that Craigslist is probably not the way to go on this.

I don't use a Email as an option in CL Posts...Call or text, Cash Only, No Deliveries, will only hold for an Hour. Meet at a parking lot 2 minutes from home and they call or text when they get there that way if they are late and I moved on it's too bad for them.

Thanks for the replies everybody. Gonna look into what average shipping rates are and try searching for buyers close by on here. I sorted it all out and took pics to so gonna try to identify what all is there too
