    metal prices!!!!

I have been predicting this for 6 mo or better. Looks like my predictions are beginning to take hold.

I said China would make a world changing announcement before the Chinese new year.

Today they verified their prediction of Chinas growth will definitely be 5%, down over 50% from 12%.

Copper led the way with a 30% drop on the trading board. Look for another big announcement from China before the second week in Feb. Just my .02

Real reason copper is dropping is due to US dollar rising...look for it to go down another .20....Bottom is gonna be around the 2.30 mark on comex. Talk is its gonna last for 16-18 months

I am going to quit trying to predict. Buy and sell on today's prices are the only way to make money in this business.

That's the key to being successful in this or any biz. One the members signature (one of the many mikes I believe) says it all. Profit is in your buying not your selling. I learned this at a very young age and it's served well.

I can see how all of this effects those that are in this for the metals, but seems E-Scrapping's stable(unless I'm not looking in the right places). You'd think if the dollar really was going up, metal price would also.

I really don't understand economic that well either. That's why I call the yards for pricing on a regular basis. And always just before I make a buy. Knowing what I'll make helps me make an educated offer.

No, you got that backwards dude. If the dollar is worth more, you get more for it. Including more metal. Means you get paid less for the metal you have.

Actually your not looking in the right place in either case. I wouldn't call a near 50% drop in e scrap price stable.

sure not happy with this but sure do plan far enough ahead to make sure I have leeway except for crt's they caught me good lol but still indeed looking ahead and researching is a key this I mean I do a lot but not always follow as I only save higher value items and sell everything else.
the one this about lower prices is more work which means others drop out and you can collect and pass go lol

Unless you are the seller, you get less money for your material..
