I made a very good stripper very cheap. Take a piece of 2X3 and drill a hole in it the diameter of the wire, then take a wood screw and screw it it in from the top of the board so the point sticks into the hole.
To use it, unscrew the the screw and put the wire in until you can grab it with a pair of pliers, screw the screw back in so it just pierces the coating of the wire and pull the wire thru, The screw will cut the coating and when you set it right you can pull the wire right out with no trouble. Clamping the block into a vise will make it even easier.
It may not be powered, but it works well and its very cheap and quick to make.
