Money making tip for Ebay sellers by making steampunk lamps

Check out links below of sold lamps on ebay. If I had more time I would build these. Good project to do when stuck in the house for winter.

The so called steam punk concept is one that I do well with.

I have always viewed EVERYTHING as parts and such. Even people in a way. Their differing characters and moods.

I enjoy making things from salvaged items.

I like the lamp with the gauges. That is some nice steam punk.

The old junk mechanical cash registers are FULL of cool gears and small decorative parts.

Another salvage item for small interesting parts is the control heads off old water softeners.

and old office copy machines have a great selection of parts in them. Be warned on copy machines that you should read up on the dangers of taking them apart before you try and take one apart. I have ended up with a few of the big office copy machines and I greatly enjoy taking them apart just for the fun of it. The glass prisms and lenses are cool if you are "into" cool glass as I am. And the small motors and they are full of nice micro switches that can be used in MANY applications.

Old pianos and organs are also a great source of great steam punk materials.

I do find the steam punk fad interesting.

Consumer products for the trendy BORG.
