Semi Trailer Floors reduced to kindling, steel and aluminum

    Started yet another cleanup project.
Remove the remnants of 15 semi van trailers abandoned in a warehouse parking lot.
Previous scrapper took the "easy stuff" and skipped the state.
He left behind about 300' of floor sections, back doors, wood / plywood piles, and tires.
I'm taking care of all the metal and wood, owner of property taking care of tires.
I rented a concrete breaker for my Bobcat to pound all the wood floors off the deck frames, worked pretty slick!
I'm left with piles of steel cross members / aluminum extrusions and a mountain of kindling, looks like red oak. Wood pile is 20' across and 6' tall.
Now to fire up the torch to separate the aluminum.

Don't you just love it when people take the easy/good stuff and leave the work for others to deal with. The owner was probably like great, now what do I do with the rest of this stuff.... Then you show up! Nice job hopefully he will spread the the word and next time you'll get the whole job instead of just the tail end.

It's nice to see someone who does it correctly. It's a shame when others won't do what's needed

    Good job!

Way to kick butt!! Outstanding work ethic. Nice to see visuals of "junk" taken out of the public eyes and helping the property owner of of a jam. Are you working on just the straight scrap value or is the owner also giving you a bit more for doing all the work involved and the wear & tear on your equipment??

Thank you. Working for the scrap but also for "points", trying to get a lease on some building space from the owner. Looking good so far.
