With all my years in the trades I have always considered use utility knife blades as a PITA. Much like a disposable syringe is to an RN.

I have a 5 gal pail in my shop next to the bench. anything metal and small goes in, broken drill bits, nuts, bolts, blades, I even save all the screws from computer tear downs and regularly drag a magnet around to pickup any bits I miss, like from smashing tv yoke's! what's really bad is, wife was tossing out some old jeans and old coats and I noticed the zippers looked like brass...anyone cutting out zippers from old clothing to save??
