Another use for hard drive magnets

I have a bunch of hard drive magnets sitting around doing nothing. I have thought about selling them but I like them and want to keep them around for projects like this. I have some steel tool organizers I purchased at Menards. I have used them to hang up my Dewalt power tools and other things using the brackets that extend out. This works good but I was wanting something more. I have a couple extra organizers so I thought I would try the neodymium magnets to hang heavier tools. I have seen other magnetic products to hang tools but I would bet none of them are strong enough to hang heavy tools like this. I though of just screwing the magnets to my tool board but that would look kinda weird and the magnets would probably get damaged. The steel tool organizer looks good and protects the neodymiums. Neodymuims are very fragile and cannot handle a lot of abuse. The magnets are powerful enough to hold themselves to the steel organizer and hold other steel objects to the organizer. Check it out.

We purchase laptop computers and many components for greater than scrap value. We offer a shipping reimbursement program.replies

I love the hard drive magnets. I have a bunch attached to the end of a 2x2- it makes a nice "poor man's lost screw pickup tool"
