Title is kinda goofy, could not think of any thing clever. Anyways!

We have a field behind our house that my parents own, My Dad and I thought it would be a good idea to put a collection bin in the field. We broke out the ply wood and 2x4's, and drug the old 4x8 trailer out of the weeds. We built some 4 foot sides and stenciled on "ELECTRONICS / METAL DROP OFF BIN" "NO TVS PLEASE" Fast forward about 4 months business is booming. Trailer is packed to the hilt every weekend, and because of this trailer I am now in the ewaste business. Not to mention all the resale laptops I pull out of it. Okay so now to the important part

Last time I went down to the trailer was Friday, went and checked it today and while I was picking up some garbage I noticed a plastic bag stapled to the trailer. First thing through my head "Oh Great 4 months in and now someone is complaining about it" well that was not the case. It was a note asking if I was interested in taking all the left over electronics after St.*****'s Barn Sale. I thought hell yea I do, then I thought some more, maybe I don't. I got to thinking about CRT's and those little childerns games that I have one low grade board and are 99% plastic.

So what do you guys think, should I go for it? Obliviously who ever left the note knows that I do not want Tv's unless they didn't read the whole trailer.

I would do it. If not I am sure they may bring the stuff to the drop off anyway

I agree with "webuyselltrade". Handle it professionally, and it could lead to more stuff in the long. Even if most of the leftovers are low grade in the long run it should be worth it.

Also, if you don't own khakis nice jeans and a polo shirt go a long way

Ended up calling the guy. After a game of phone tag we finally go in touch last night. We talked and he explained what they do and what they have. He informed me they do not take monitors, tv's or items with refrigerant. So that is something I will not have to worry about. I've agreed to meet with him on the 18th, the day before the sale starts so he can show me around and show me what they have, and I can point out to him things we take and things that we maybe not so much take.

He was bummed to find out that we do not take furniture or glassware. *Different business there buddy* Basically he came to the conclusion that we take anything that plugs in and anything with a motor. I told him that basically sums it up.

The one thing that erks me about our conversation was, that I feel because I am young (17) he felt that I could not be counted on to come and clear out. So I really did not like the vibe the guy was putting out. He told me multiple times to but a reminder in my phone (Which I do not even know how to do) Anyways on the topic of clearing out he told me I have six hours to clean this place out from 2pm to 8pm on Sunday. He felt like there would be at least enough to fill a 14 foot box truck, but we will see about that.

I guess we will hear back on the twenty-first how this went.

Well hear we are. The next sale. I'd say off the first sale we netted about 8 or 9 4'x4'x4' cages full of scrap. Not much resale, but not to bad.

Yesterday I got a call wondering if we were still in the business. I told her of course we are and we are still interested in the sale. She said every Saturday for the next 6 months they do their testing and sorting up to the sale. So we were informed we would have to go and empty there bin at least once a week. Sounds pretty good to be, not to far away and helps speed up business that has been steadily declining. Last year we almost ran out of room between two trucks and two trailers. So this year I may have to keep another rig on stand by
