When prices were high I have scrapped printers that weighed in excess of 2000 lb but a standard copier is prob worth $15

For me they are worth it. I remove cord, power supply and anything else I can get quickly (10-15 min). Just make sure your yard will take the rest with all that plastic on it. If you have a yard that would require you to remove a lot of it then that's time and you will need to deal with all the plastic so it may not be worth it at that point.

If you scored any unopened toner cartridges with the copier you can sell them on eBay.

    Good luck

I'm getting 5 cents a pound for copiers, printers, scanners and fax machines. They buy it as shred at my yard but I cut the cords and removes the good circuit boards first.

make sure to open and pull the RAM on most of them along with the other boards already mentioned. There are a TON of little motors in them, but really not worth the effort....rest would go as shred.

OH, check some of the trays and other items on Ebay...many times they go for way more than scrap pricing.
PROFIT is made when you BUY/ACQUIRE NOT when you sell
