Scrapping PC cases for steal? Remove plastic bezels?

I have about 50 old P4 compaq evo desktops that I'm stripping down. I'm left with the cases. Each case has a plastic speaker housing, 1 fan and plastic bezels. Should I strip all the way down to just steal?

Depends on your yard. Yard by me pays sheet iron, clean sheet iron. Sheet iron is $.0165 and clean sheet iron is $.029 a pound.

My yard doesn't dock, so I leave everything on. Cases also make great containers for hauling other shred, like hard drive caddies

Cases just don't add up in weight- you're hauling mostly air.

This is a load I hauled to the yard a couple of years ago:

That load was about 1350#. Compressing cases isn't an easy task, so I just deal with the bulk. Cases are really just the byproduct of recycling the rest of the machine.

My yard doesn't require the plastic to be removed.
Fill 'em, stack 'em, aaaaaaaand repeat.

Same here ScrapperT. All plastic is left on the cases and then the cases are filled with more metal. Same thing with old metal phone cabinets. I can usually pack 20 to 50 pounds of metal in PC cases and phone cabinets.
