Homemade wire stripper from vacuum and fan motors?

I'm scrapping a TON of vacuums and floor fans.
A thought came to me today while breaking one down:
Can I use the motors from these to make an automated wire stripper?

I saw one on YouTube, a guy hooked a motor to a long pole.
Then he did the same with a second pole.
He situated them so that they were very close to one another.
When he turned the motors on, and fed a wire into the space between the rods, the wire caught, and came out the other side w/ the insulation peeled off.

Has anybody else done something similar to this?

Did the original invention use a single, two or three stage vacuum motor.
