Pay more then then the local scrap yard. Call every plumber and electrical contractor in the book. Figure out your prices and recovery rates and make money. Convincing them that it's not worth their time to strip or drive to the scrap yard at your price is the trick. I'm still working on that part. I'll have another chance Friday to work on my buying I mean selling a fridge to an Eskimo thing. Always keep a case of beer in the back of the truck to sweeten friday afternoon deals lol. Specially with hvac guys. Buying roof top hvac units can be easy money. 2000lb units dropped right on the trailer with a crane best kind

I know of 2 ways to do that. The first will require cash on your part to buy low and sell high. The second will result in you being someone's b*tch and having a cell mate named Bubba.

Microwave ovens, the older ones, have 2lbs of Copper in the transformer.
There's other Copper in them too, some Silver too.

Don't mess around with the magnetron unless you know what you are doing, ie, without a lathe to take the ends off without breaking the ceramic, forget it. Either stockpile them Or throw them out. DO NOT BREAK THE CERAMIC PARTS!!!!!!!

Fridge compressors have 2lbs of Copper wire in them too. You need a 9inch angle grinder (and to know how to use it!!) to open the cases. And the whole FREON thing too...
You MUST process the Freon correctly or you will spend some time in jail and lose everything you own.

    >On the plus side, if you get a Freon removal certification, people will bring them to you, and you can sell the freon too.
At that point, you can start fixing the fridges/freezers and make even more money from them.
From there on you do not go to jail and the profits are enough for you to buy a house.

A little education and proper process will earn you $$$$, the younger you are, the more money you can stand to make.

Well, my only suggestion not already mentioned is to extract the wire from bigger motors and transformers. it would likely require you to already have some kind of vice and diamond blade on your tool of choice. Just stay out of trouble and always work safe .
