Non Essential Tools

There have been a couple threads about the basic tools you cannot do without. I thought it would be interesting to know unusual or unique or tools that you regularly use that someone might not necessarily associate with scrap metal recycling. So, without further ado...



electrical tester... check items to know whether to toss into scrap or repair and sell.
Two wheel dolly... no need to make a case.
Bluetooth Radio... Help pass the time
Magnifying glass... For the things you need to see and to burn ants.
Smart Phone... With a few apps I have a colornote and waze and yard sale treasure map and QrBarcode Scanner

Not a tool, but for me kind of important.......small tv with a built in DVD player. I have on a shelf in front of my workbench. nice to have background noise while working. I actually have a back up one also, just in case one breaks. I get them for free. A lot of the movies I get in pick ups as well. I just got done watching Season 3 of 24 Also have an CD player and cassette player set up(both free from pick ups). I love the cassette player, I have a whole box of tapes from my college days.

I would say dynamite.

You don't really need it, but on some jobs it makes the break down go a lot faster.

Bottle Opener! Non essential because you could buy cans!

I can't believe it is not here and I am almost ashamed to say it is essential... Beer, and a fridge to keep it cold

Robo Grip, vise grip, Cable cutters, You can get by without any of them but why bother
