start reading the threads, you got 1200 computers literally for a penny each?
I assume you either are the luckiest son of a beach or you are just pulling our leg

Make a big pile to extend the land mass occupied by the city of New Orleans. Well worth $12.
I swear it's like 40 pallets of 30 computer each , it's a variance of dell optiplex 550 to 755 ima try and upload a picture , but it's just so much and I'm new to this so I need some pointers if possible
I gave you all the pointers you need >>>>> START READING THE FORUM!
Step 1: buy a good screw gun
Step 2: buy a few gaylords
Step 3: research how to separate stuff
Step 4: disassemble everything
Step 5: find a buyer for the stuff
Step 6: hire a couple semi trucks
Step 7: profit
That's quite a load in the pictures. Tell me you are not going to haul them all in your car. 12 bucks is one heck of a deal. Here it would be $1200 bucks the way crazy people bid and that's plus 8.5% sales tax. With scrap so low I was considering switching to e-waste for a while but I have a problem buying scrap unless I know there is a sure fire return on the investment unless maybe it's a car to part out. That is my expertise. I don't know of anyone in my area that buys boards or hard drives. I have heard they can be boxed up and at my expense shipped to a company that can either buy them all. A few or reject the entire load. Not exactly the assurance I was looking for. Good luck with your haul. It's sure to be fun.
ok so that last picture tells me (from what I can see) there probably is NO hard drive, process or ram (although the hard drive might be in the upper right corner with that fan hard to see what it is).
SO, you DO have some profit here. You need to READ the escrap thread to get a basic understanding of a computer (assuming you do not have that and I base that on your original question). You need to know what you have, if anything works (and if it is more valuable as resale...that info comes from Ebay as the easiest source) and then separate out the rest. Some things are better shipped out to get the most $$$$...some stuff needs to be sold locally.
If you were closer, I could consult for you (where I could see them), but I am in Georgia, so not really feasible. You really need someone with some knowledge of computers to guide you because of all the variables (again assuming your computer knowledge is limited). The threads will get you up to speed fairly quickly, but that means sitting on all that for a few weeks.
Once you spend a day or so reading the old threads, PM me and I can at least point you in the right direction. Having an inventory of what you have will help IMMENSELY. If it gets very involved, we can discuss other options.

PROFIT is made when you BUY/ACQUIRE NOT when you sell
Please check to see if there's anything in there that can be sold for better than scrap value BEFORE you start tearing through all of it.
I do not want to cause a controversy here, but... I find it extremely difficult to beleive someone had enough brains to palletize and prepare all that for sale, and then sell it for 12.00. There is something fishy about this post.
It is a little weird that someone would have fished 1200 drives, sticks, and chips but not bothered to take the mobo, turning the rest over to auction. I guess I could understand leaving the fans and heatsinks but those boards are decent value. Maybe not enough for the extra screws. But in for penny, in for a pound, right?
Thanks for all the replies,. Charles I will pm when I get more educated on computers in the threads. In regards to the last picture , that was me taking a computer apart to see how hard it was.it took me 20 min. All computers have all components . It was a school auction with 8 other buyers. I guess I was the only one with the guts to placed a bid. There is no point for me too lie. I am just in unusual situation and wanna make sure I can make some quick money. I already spoke with cash for scrap usa. They told me they would send a freight shipment my way but the would only offer me 1 dollar per unit. Is that worth it ???
This seems like a joke to me.........There is easily $10,000 worth of equipment there.......I can still get $50/$75 for a working Optiplex 745/755
BUYING ALL COMPUTER SCRAP WORKING OR NOT
CHECK OUT MY BUYERS THREAD http://www.scrapmetalforum.com/scrap...nic-scrap.html

$1 per unit is the base price many folks buy computers for ... you will lose quite a bit of money !
Here is a price list from one of the buyers on this forum CLICK ME
You could make a nice chunk of change if you rip all the units apart and separate the parts. You could make even more if some of those units still worked !
