I was reading old thread jenkins1997 about selling old key fob remotes. Is that company cashforkeyless.com still in business?

Any of those sites buying them pay you pennies on the $.
You are almost always better off selling them in bulk on eBay.

Yup.. A few summers ago I got a bucket full of them from a guy who had hoarded them for years. Sold a few on their own (a Corvette Fob netted nearly $100 bucks all by itself) but the "run of the mill" Chevy and Ford Fobs.. went in a "lot" and all went "bye bye" rather quickly!

I didn't say it was the best option.

I was trying to be nice in saying..."Why didn't you just visit the site?".

An I agree withe pennies on the dollar thing, it's very similar to certain companies who buy cell phones/gold/silver/etc.

    They really get my goat...

@CaptialRecovery I normally leave the pics to Hobo, Jimi, an the rest of my Cooler Pullers. Now quotes and weird ass taglines....That's 100% mine. Plus...I already do a bang up job of derailing threads without meaning to, could you imagine the chaos in every thread I'd post in? The people can't handle that much goat.

    However...

I hate to see anyone be disappointed...so..I give you..

An this is what happens when Hobo hears a Goat pic needs posted..

@everyone else...Blame Captial for this. I didn't want him to be sad.

Unless you own a wrecking yard or go around stealing everyone's keys where would you find a load of key FOB's big enough to make anything.

I always grab key fobs I find at the u-pick junkyard, usually they are all for sale up at the office but you still find them occasionally. have a pretty good box going to sell.

as for the big $$, definitely the C4 vette fob's go for good money, and so do the big tire pressure monitors from those cars--the ones that are strapped inside the rim. I actually sold my fobs to a guy online for $200 years ago because I disabled the PASS feature since the computer was malfunctioning. guys that want their cars original/restored will pay good money for those...

I only know vette's (cuz I have 3), but I bet a lot of the sports cars from the 90's or so bring good money for the early generation passive keyless entry fob's. problem is a lot of time when you find them you don't know what they are for. at least the corvette fob's have the flags on them to make it easy to ID.
