    ISRI Scrap specifications circular

I see alot of questions in here about how to prep scrap. I learned the hard way over the years by getting ripped off by yard owners but that doesn't have to be the way.

Looks like no one has posted this in here before but here's a link to the latest version (at least according to the ISRI website) of the the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) guide on scrap specifications. I was going to attach it here but the site won't let me attach a file that big. This is a 640K .pdf file that you can download. This is some of the best information you can have as a scrapper.

Prep your scrap to this and keep it on you and it's sorta hard for a yard owner to complain about what you've brought in and what you are grading it as (you should keep in mind though that some yard's equipment is geared to a certain type of scrap and they may have some additional requirements)

I hope this helps all of you get the most cash for your scrap (maybe the moderators of this forum would put a sticky on this post so everyone sees it)
