    i486 cpu chips

    Does anyone know how many intel i486/386 cpu chips make a pound? Have a opportunity to buy ALOT of supposedly complete old mid 90s AST Bravo 4/33 laydown style computer towers. Im thinking $2.50ea. They have ram, a power supply, floppy drive, and im not sure if those had a normal style hard drive or not and a large motherboard as well.

    The last ones I sold were really close to 10 chips to the pound. That weight is just to give you an approximation!

    ok. So even at $25 my cost for 10-12 units, I can make a good profit on just the chips alone! Thanks

    The motherboard alone should cover the $2.50 you are talking about.

    Its closer to 20 per pound. I just weighed some for you and they are about .75oz per chip
