Need some more details here....
How much money are you making from your supplier?
For me I never give percentages because it's too complicated and prone to suspicion of not get what is due. I buy all out right that way what is mine is mine. If I pay too much then it's only me I have to answer to. 73, Mike

Now go beat the copper out of something, Miked
Pay for it from him by weight at the lowest rate you can get him to agree to. If he will not agree to a rate that allows you to profit from the arrangement, then it is not an arrangement that works for both of you.... Smile. Thank him. Drink beer.
Yes . I agree with t00nces2, I would offer by the pound depending on the situation. My landfill guy pulls all the computer equipment from the garbage ( he has to )
and puts it aside for me along with cell phones and some video games. Sometimes I get a few, sometimes I get 15 or more. I feed him $20 here and there for his trouble and
more if i make a good score and resell for better than scrap. I also fix up things that he wants to keep and give to his kids. He is happy to get the extra cash and I am happy to get the extra e-scrap. It works well for us both. If you are getting larger loads then yes , something more formal like by the pound would be a good option- more cut and dry.
