i was wandering what the 5th line on the tape measure is its before the 1 inch mark yeah i know im stupid lol thats how thick it is and around they are 2 inch on each side i think its extrusion but not sure according to my scale it says 6.8 to 7lbs for one is that about right? if so i got about 90 some lbs give or take. i was wandering about copper tube cutters can i just get one and will it cover all the sizes? i asked the ac/heater guy he said i can get a decent one for 15 to 20 dollars is this true? what brand should i get? i think its gotta be easier then using a hacksaw to get the soldered parts off with less waste cause i get dust from the hacksaw and some of that thick crap is hard to cut through like say the copper tube from a water softner resin tank cause sometimes i have to use the hacksaw when the pipe wrench does not work.
what about red brass if i have some copper pipe inside from where i cut it off will that downgrade the red to yellow?
Get a cordless sawzall. Don't worry about the little bit of copper dust you are losing.
Why would copper downgrade brass. Both red and yellow brass are made of copper, amongst other things. Copper is worth more than both red and yellow brass.
