Shipping flat screen computer monitors

I have 40 or 50 computer monitors I am thinking about shipping in advance of shipping my e-scrap. The reason for this is because the computer screen, always seem to be in my way. I have limited space and I just keep moving them around and moving them around.

A lot of the screens are 15" so not much value. If I can fit 20 or so into a box before the box is charged over 60 lbs for dimensional weight, the payout would only be $30, that probably would not even cover shipping costs.



So I want to know how other folks get around this hurdle. Should I just pack them and wait to ship with my other e scrap? All suggestions appreciated.

I usually leave the computer monitors alone and just focus on shipping the most value rich items like ram, laptop hdds, processors, and higher quality green boards.

We've got a good e-waste recycling system here in Maine. It's a good gig for the bigger e-waste companies to do the lower value things because they get kickbacks from the manufacturers & the state for handling items that would otherwise be unprofitable.

If they can do a better job and make more money on a particular thing than i can ... i'm all for leaving that part of it to the big boys.

I also try to wait until I can get a pallet load. Otherwise they just won't cover their shipping cost.
