how to tell stainless,diecast ali and cast ali apart?

    how to tell stainless,diecast ali and cast ali apart?

    i was wanting to know about stainless steel if it has little tiny lines on it it means its stainless and not ali right? what about diecast vs cast? i know cast breaks but what about diecast? i got this screw gun from a guy and its all non magnetic it is about 2lbs would it be diecast cast or stainless? thanks looks like this but a little different https://www.google.com/search?rlz=1C...JR6EQlZZMleFM:

    Stainless steel is usually non-magnetic (some grades are slightly magnetic) and will throw sparks when hit with a grinder. Aluminum will not throw sparks when hit with a grinder. A couple of valuable threads that you might want to bookmark:
