Rectifier question

I have 7 of these large super heavy rectifiers that they are scraping at work. Ive pulled one out to attempt to scrap it. they are probably 100# +.



What should I expect to sell it as at the yard? I do not have the time or resources to pull all the coils of copper off. There are 6 large coils on each of these.

Scrap iron is probably around $.06 to to $.08 per lb. I would pull any and all copper from it if possible.

You need to take one to the yard and find out from them. All yards are different.

There are a couple of members in your area that might be interested in buying them from you and paying more than the scrap yard because they will separate the metals providing a larger return. Some larger ones contain other non ferrous metals beyond copper and might contain a mercury switch.

I am attempting to post a pic, but the system wont let me... I have a decent amount of scrap here that someone could tear down and make some good money, but I just dont have the time to do it, and I have to remove it from the building by next week. DFW TX if anyone has a flat bed trailer x7 Old 35mm Projectors. AL, Brass, Copper, Iron. THey are pretty heavy suckers too.

Its probably going to be “electric motor or copper transformer” classification. Probably $.10 to $.15 per lb is my guess. Take the time to get the copper out if you can......

Transformer at .04 a pound where I live.
If you don't have time to scrap them put them on craigs list and be done with it.
