    I agree with Patriot76. I have personally done huge scrap metal jobs I really had no business doing. But I didn't paint myself into a corner and I hustled to make them happen. I don't advertise that I only have a small Toyota truck and small trailer. I advertise "No job too big or too small".

    Start talking to regulars at the scrap yard who have trucks. Get their numbers and offer some kind of profit share if they do hauling for you when you land a bigger job. Ask the scrap yard if they provide roll off dumpsters.



    I appreciate anyone trying to grow their business. I just think you are limiting yourself.

    Back in February I did a job where I made $12k. I could have easily done that job with nothing. Not even a dolly. I used the scrap yard to pick things up with their semi trailers. I did haul in the smaller stuff myself but looking back it would have been easier if I had just had them drop off a couple roll off dumpsters so I didn't have to make so many trips to the yard with my truck.
