Went to hardware store got some bi metal blades diablos and irwin couldnt get any spyders. Got 3 different types can someone tell me what kinds of scrap i can use them for so i dont mess a blade up? 1 is irwin 18tpi 8" 203mm. Diablo is 6" thin metal less than 1/8" 20/24 tpi full contact the other is 9" 18 tpi medium metal goes up to 5/16" would 5\16" be a big copper pipe? Thanks.

Lol. Thats a good one=). I have correct ppe for the ocasion got some things from gearcor level 4 kevlar gloves back support for lifting got a face shield from uline for impacts and boots with met gaurds and safety toes plus steel shank for reinforment haha. I just want to know if i can use the thin metal blade for cutting off ac ends? Blades dont really tell what u can cut with them just shows angle metal ugh.

It reminds me of the Dr. Dimento based song... something along the lines of getting trained by a Karate Instructor/Kung Fu master.... student says "I've got the pajamas, so train me".
You can use a wood saw to cut copper. Think about that.

Exactly, the course tooth blade won't clog up with soft copper.

Any of those will work on copper some better than others. if it were me I would use a coarse tooth blade on copper and or aluminum.
Very fine tooth for cutting exhaust pipe and run the saws thing a slow speed, otherwise you just end up over heating the blade when this happens the temper from the steel is gone, You've annealed the blade.
If you really want to become a professional use a blade lubricant.

For the U tubes on AC coils, I use a side grinder with a diamond masonry blade. Cuts through cleanly and never wears out.

Well, you can use blade after blade or buy a diamond wheel that will never wear out.

With a reciprocating saw large teeth are used on most nonferrous and fine teeth for steel. Lennox is the most common brand I use based on price and longevity. Being lazy sometimes I just use my grinder with a cut off wheel (I will be trying a diamond wheel in the near future based on the recommendations here) or even my skill saw with a metal wheel.
I do not know how you can get anything done with all the safety equipment you wear, have to put on and off, and keep track of. I am more of a minimalist. More on this in another thread.
