Hey man, welcome to the forum! When you scrap washers and dryers out, remove the motor(take these in when you have a decent amount), remove all the wiring and don't bother stripping it(again, take in when you have a decent amount), and if you want to get into
e-waste then there are usually only a couple of screws holding on the control panel, set these aside and learn how to separate what's inside(there is also usually a strip of aluminum on the face of the panel). I think it's worth it as well, but I also have the space to keep all my crap and take in large loads.
