We do Commercial units in South Florida mostley 10-25 ton units i would like to send you some pics but can not/do not know how to down load pics from of my computer.
I have scrapped larger commercial units. mostly there is a board worth a couple hundred 200 ish in copper wire the chamber is 409 SS even if it is rusty then there is either insulated wall panels injected with foam for shred so separate them to the base frames the chimney could be 304 SS and the bulk of the steel should be either painted galvanized or like G90 galvanized. i love the big units they come apart in like 3-4 hours and you usually double your cash. oh yes and the fan motors i for got about all the fan motors.
upload your pictures to facebook and then use insert image in the thread
I do alot of those but have a much faster method. The sawzal works but it leaves behind a strip of mixed copper/steel. What i do is i take my metabo and cut off the copper loops flush with the steel. Then get a screw driver in between the aluminum fin and steel tube sheet and pop it off. Im left with clean steel and copper tube loops. I then hand sort the loops for number 1 and number 2. All i can say is i love my 6" metabo.
