Looks like a good vid.
unfortunately I don't have my headphones now, so I'll watch it later.
Be carefull with those scooters,
I found two on/next to some railroad tracks...
Buddy wanted to disassemble the aluminum, it took him ALL day.
When we got to the scrapyard they would not take them because even the 50cc's have a VIN #
and we of course had no titles...
Finally I begged the boss guy inside like, "C'mon it's considered a moped, it don't have a title, etc."
Luckily he let us drop the frames and scrap the irony alum. parts...Barely though.
Gotta get back to work, Thanks!
I know. I cut the frames into 4 parts the part with the VIN # i trash it. And scrap the rest.
Most will be irony alum. It takes to long tear it all down. I can be out getting more.
I'd suggest selling the parts.
I can make gocarts out of them & trampoline frame tubing & old car parts etc. But in reality, nobody wants to pay more than the actual parts value for a going gocart.
ie A gocarts got 4X $100 tires, a $100 motor, $100 in odd parts. And no one wants to pay more than $600 for it. Thats with a 200cc+ engine.
And then you actually have to design it, make it, rework it, repair it, test it, have fun on it, repair it again & buy more parts, need the $$ & sell it, for parts value @ $500-$600
I watched the "Scrap'n on a Scooter - 6 Loads to Scrap Yard" video and found it most interesting and the payout seemed good enough for my taste now and then.
Most times I figure that the stuff like that guy had, I've TONS of and don't figure it's worth my time and energy to mess with it. So it mostly just sits until I sort on it a bit better.
HINT I find posts like this by looking at the list of people, and bots and such that are reading over the forum.
