Glad you added in the importance of discharging the tv. Worried some young kid is gonna see some of the vids on youtube, find a tv in the neighborhood and then get blasted with high voltage.

Side note go roll them gloves in some dirt or something

    What fumes?

It's called a "VACUUM TUBE" for a reason.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

Like mick said the tubes have a vacuum so when busted they pull air in not push air out. Still not a good idea to break one

Not sure what you used, but I saw like maybe an inch of video width wise.

I have had a TV explode before. Usually I break the tail off before cutting the steel band that wraps around the glass but I had forgotten to do it just once, and I'm not sure if that is the reason for the explosion, but I got to cutting the band before breaking the tail and the 32'' TV literally exploded... Sent glass shards everywhere, up to 25 feet away too, with about 2 hours worth of cleaning up. Only had a few small cuts to myself but regardless, They can explode outward.

This shouldn't be a recommendation for anyone to cut the steel band off the glass.

Delete it and make an informative video when you know what you are actually talking about.

Misleading people with bad information is worse than not helping them at all.

All that was missing is someone yelling "EARTHQUAAAAKE!" during the shaking.

    Haha.

I look forward to TV Breaking down the sequel.

I don't know what i am doing, or what the parts are called, or how to do it BUT. This is how you scrap a TV.
How about a video on how to make a bomb !
