THE JACK THE SCRAPPER SHOW THIS WEEK: A PROFESSIONAL SCRAP RECYCLING FLYER
Everything that you said is spot on!
And what's good about the flyer is that even though you are advertising only TV's and appliances, I'm sure that the people in that niche will have other things to dispose of. But the principle of keeping it simple, less is more, etc. is important because I see flyers all of the time that list 30 to 40 things and I'll never remember ANY of them.
Bah... I just print out a text file. It also comes in handy as an attachment to an email so I can keep the bandwidth down.
Couple notes:
This video is dead-on. Anyone doing this business even part time should have business cards and small flier.
How did you get around to referencing PSL? My folks live there.
Now just need to put a picture of yourself on the back wearing your cutoff t-shirt, ripped jeans, cigarette in the mouth and holding the infamous hatchet.
Nicely done, I have a background in Marketing and you would have put many a "VP of Marketing" to shame with that one clip. Tracking where your leads come from is a goldmine in marketing- and it works perfectly here as well.
Been watching your Youtube vids for a while- had no idea you were a member here as well.
Aaron
Jack,
Who did you get that through? Also, do you know what size that is?
Have you ever thought of stapling a business card to that as well?
Great idea!

Anyone looking for business materials- vistaprint.com usually has REALLY good deals on professional ad materials (flyers, business cards, vehicle ad magnets etc.) I have utilized them for years for all of my business cards. Much cheaper than an offset printer. Design online, paypal payment, and delivery to your door!!
i made the flyer in microsoft excel and i have them printed at the local ups store by my house.
runs me about $80 for 200 ish if i can remember correctly i dont know......
they come cut to size and cause its on file there it takes like 24 hours for an order
i dont put business cards on them when i get a call from a flyer i give them 2 cards in person when i do the pick up
I see. Just something to think about, especially if your out and about where there is a lot of people and wanting to pass some out. People might be quick to toss a flyer, regardless of what it is about, but with a business card, they can just put it in their wallet or purse.
