    Check the yards around you, some pay a little more for steel separated into categories. Around here a new place started and others followed, before peddlers all got the same price no mater the type of steel. Some of the breakdown for steel by me is this. Sheet iron (shred), Clean Sheet Iron, Un Prepared, Prepared. I do not clean or breakdown my steel just separate it as I get it and then turn it in when I get enough of one item.
