I thought youtube videos couldnt be over 10 minutes...glad to see they changed it lol.

I have had a few, but never tore them down before. That was also before I know of the value of tearing things down.

Good video for people who are curious.

Yeah!!! I'm glad you brought that up. After the vid we did look into and it is definitely worth selling versus scrapping!!!

They consider us a GURU account LOL So we can post long videos... I think the longest vid we ever made is 28 min and it is scrapping a microwave... =P Long enough for a TV show with no commercials!!!

Gotcha. Didn't know if they had upgrades that if you pay a certain amount, you can more privileges or something.

By next week, I will be starting videos. Out of curiousity, what type of camcorder do you use? I have a Sony Handycam 60x optical zoom myself.

I bought the Ryobi LITHIUM batteries mid 2008 - They lasted for 3 years. Both of them literally just died in the last month. Have not determined yet if it is the batteries or charger. I'm thinking the batteries due to one did work a month longer.

BUT even though they are dead - I LOVE THEM and will buy more..... Does anyone know if Ryobi has upgraded their batteries in the last three years? No biggy I will find out soon. Will be making a purchase in the next couple weeks.

Only privilege is over 15 minutes. I think anyone can change their account to guru. It should be in account settings.

Currently I have a Digital Kodak 12x Optical Zoom Camera. Model ZD8612 IS - I bought it for pictures, but I like the quality of video as well. When I made the purchase I knew I must have at very least 10X Optical zoom. I bought it off of Ebay for about $120.

Never tried it, but have seen where people zap the battery with a welder to revive it. Google "reviving battery welder".

Just Google imaged that camera. Definitely doesn't look like it is for video, but definitely cool that it can.

I am hoping mine is still good. Haven't used it in forever. If it isn't, I will get one like the girl on Good Luck Charlie uses or perhaps another like I have now.

It looks like you cut the wires off flush on that motor leaving no way to hook it up ever again. Unless you open it up and solder in new power leads its only worth is in the copper inside.

Yeah we did not think of selling until some of our subscribers brought it to our attention. But you bring up a good point. I think I will notate the video for new watchers. Thanks!
