Love it!! Good vid!! I remember the last vid you said you charge for residential pickups.... On top of the brass, stainless steel & $42. What did you get for charging for the pick up?? Here in Florida everyone just throws their appliances to the curb. I know in Canada you have to pay by piece that you throw out, right?? It is interesting to see how you manage you scrap business! Keep up the great vids!!

It varies in different municipalities but I've never heard about anything like this. Where I am the city does free oversized item pickups which will include appliances, furniture, basically anything that won't fit in the city issued household garbage bin.

I was wondering if the $42 included the charge to remove the appliances?

and about the city garbage trucks they love the garbage pickers they make less work for them. here in this city we call them and have them send their truck out to our house I think 3 times a year for oversize garbage. beyond that if I have a couch to dump I have to take to a waste transfer station myself and pay to dump it around $120 a ton for trash.

That is when I would have told him, that since the stuff was not outside, there would be a small charge for having to get it out.

Did he help you get it out?

I always wondered what I looked like because of my ADD........ now I know, and knowing is half the battle.
