Here is the pallet that I sent out:
The Priority Mail box was used to send material in to me. Do not use unused Priority Mail boxes for this- that would be illegal. As you can see, I used a lot of ropes on it, but I had over a dozen boxes, and they were of different sizes. If you're boxes are the same size, it should be easier.
This time, I'm adding wooden sides to the pallet, basically turning it into a large box that I'll fill with my cardboard boxes. I can already tell that it's a lot more stable. I'll get photos of that when I get a chance. I'll still run a couple of ropes around the wooden structure to reinforce it, and tie the bozes down to the pallet with ropes, but it'll basically create a cage for the material.
It's a lot of trouble to go to, but it works. Gorven is right, though- if you have access to shrink wrap, use it. That stuff really does wonders!
