At least I have been enlightened on the spelling of Machiavelli. I have tried to google him a couple of times but just couldn't get it close enough to find it. So thanks for that, 73 Mike

    I'm a fan of ol'Nicco.

    Read The Prince several times.

An yes the last name is tough to spell. If you mess it up you end up with Tupac when he used it on album right before his death. I'm full of random info, but you know this Mike as I know you follow the music thread, you know my tastes go from the chill to the extreme. Ha ha!

Very interesting individual the real one was. Hell then again..so was Tupac if you get past the other stuff. If you check out other quotes of his you'll see some of the stuff he wrote in action all around you, from Politics to Crime. Very interesting..at lest to me. Same with Sun Tzu and his Art of War. Both very short books..hell I got kids books thicker heh. Yet all governments, armies, etc are influenced greatly by both.

Sorry for the detour folks! See..I'm not just a pretty face, I can read, an not just coloring books! I got brains baby! Wooo!

See..I just proved..people learn something new everyday!

Come on really?! LOL I was talking about the goat in the Box....SMH

Gorven offers awesome rates, Mario/Ewasted also, as do several other buyers.

An once more...I can get shipping cheaper then RLS there..an I live 2 miles out in the freaking ocean.

Rent the whole truck, or part of the truck, this is how these kind things work. If your not taking up the whole thing, there will be others people stuff on there to. Nobody is dedicating a whole semi trailer to 3 pallets. Which makes it a helluva lot cheaper then the usual shipping methods.

    One again, and as always...YMMV.

How the fu ck can you think of going with a company without knowing the pay out rates! Unless they are located close to you I can not think of any other reason. Price is what it is all about, so find out prices! Hell post them here so we can all know. If this CJ place pays well or better that would be good info for all of us...

CJ Environmental is part of Cash For Electronic Scrap .com. Everything I've heard, I'd run the other way. There are plenty of good buyers right here on the forum. Some of who have responded to you.

So it's been 12 days and you've been pointed in the right direction by several people and contacted by several buyers. Have you sent them pictures to get pricing from them?

Just an observation capital. But your shipping cost per pound was .74. You lost a little money on the ribbon wire. Could be partly from shipping 84 lbs via FedEx. I believe cost goes up when you ship over 70 lbs. but maybe you didn't ship fedex

This is critical information that has been discussed before in other threads. Shipping can kick your A$$. Also I was thinking the break off was about 65lbs. I hope some one who has the recent experience can chime in.

I always get a quote before shipping then fig cost per pound to ship. I always use my own carrier, even if shipping freight.

    Hello
The issue was shipping fedex, it was OVER 70 lbs which kicks it up significantly.
If shipping freight or parcel, our rates are about as aggressive as they get.

Not doubting you. I ship freight from about .22 to .26 per lb. I know you do a good job

The reason I was CONSIDERING CJ Enviromental was simply becuase they stated they would Cover The shipping Cost's becuase of such a large load I have. If they can not Compete with EWasted (CashForComputerScrap.Com) Payout Rates then I Would not even consider them.
I havent got everything completly packed up yet as im adding to The 2 Pallet Loads I have on a daily basis. I have at least at this point 1150 lbs of Laptops InComplete and close to 175 pounds of Mother Boards and High Grade Boards. Since I dont have My pallet dimensions quite yet i have not been able to get a freight Quote from CashForComputerScrap.com yet.

Just an FYI about FedEx shipping. Yes 70 lbs is the break point. Moving up in weight approaching 70 lbs greatly reduces your cost per lb. A box in the 60+ lb range can be over 10 cents cheaper per pound than a 30 something pound box. However, do NOT go over 70 lbs. They classify anything over 70, yes even 70.5 lbs as HEAVY and stamp it so and charge you an immediate $10 extra for a heavy box thereby killing any savings.

With that much weight, you need to talk to the shipping guy in the buyers section
Currently looking for a job in or related to scrap/recycling. Relocation is possible for the right offer.

For the benefit of some of other members:
    1. Where in PA are you?
    2. Are you bringing the material to a terminal or shipping from your business or residence. If business or residence, did you get lift gate service. If terminal, what location?
    3. How much was shipping for xx pounds?

    Thank you.
