Thanks everyone. my back caught up w/ me from the past wk so i decided to wait (well was forced to lol) and rest it a few days bf loading up. I will try to go tomorrow.

So i think the only thing that is still stumping me a bit is the different die cast zinc and maybe the MLC items. i plan to call the yards today and see if they have a mlc category.

With the die cast zinc if it looks like it came out of a mold and has the properties of alum (nonmagnetic and no spark) then it would either be cast alum or die cast zinc right? then if those items were grainy and breakable w/ hammer it would be cast alum and if they dont break they are most likely die cast zinc? is that correct? die cast zinc can look both grainy and non grainy? are those assumptions correct?

I have some hydrochloric acid and plan to do some spot test today. Are there other metals in the above categories (nonmagnetic, non spark) that could test negative on acid test and not be die cast zinc?

Thanks on the compressor info. I did not realize there was copper in there. i will open it if its not to much trouble. some of the yards i called said they did not take compressors.

you guys put bicycle/scooter wheels in w/ extrusion? the rubber is off.

I called a few yards last wk and all the ones i called told me to put rotors in w/ shred. I could swear i read you guys got a higher price for them??

thanks again everyone. hopefully this post will cut down on my questions in the future.
