    I started buying a few silver coins on ebay recently. Got a batch of quarters coming at just under $4 (inc. shipping). Today's melt value is $3.40 so I've over paid a little but I'll be holding well past break even (about $22/oz silver). I check the garage sales and thrift stores but haven't come across a deal in quite a while. It seems like people are more aware of what they have and price accordingly.
