I worked with an
E-Waste place until they kept taking advantage of me. They raised prices, wouldn't honor warranties, and then started changing price brackets and available quantities to help themselves. Pentium 4 desktops became OptiPlex GX240s only. The GX270s/280s were as obsolete as the 240, but since I wanted them, they jacked up the price. This is why I started doing E-Waste.
Before I did that, though, I worked with a clothing recycler to do E-Waste. To make a long story short, we had a "Difference of opinion" in Kansas City, MO. It was a long, long trip back to Wyoming. If I had more money at the time, I probably would have bought a car in KCMO to avoid having to be near him.
We're friends now, and I help him with the clothing. But, trust me, doing E-Waste independently is the best thing that I could have done.
Partners and debt are similar- both are shackles around the ankles.

What's the area price for cardboard, and what's the cost of a used baler? I know the clothing balers are pricey.
Off topic: I've always wondered if somebody could modify a small square hay baler to do this type of thing. It might be a way to save some money.
