    I have found over and over that the best way to not be disappointed in your "friends" is not to expect anything from them.
    I do not ask for favors. Period.
    Perhaps you could rent a U-Haul pickup?
    Not sure how old you have to be to do that.
    Save up for a truck. You will be your own man.
    Sorry about the disappointments, it's just an introduction to the real world.
