John has all of the snow melted?
I am hauling mine in finally because last week they where flooded.
Now today on a load my trailer wheel bearing went out so now i am going to spend 500 on it and put on new hubs with bearings and backing plates with new brakes.I am going to do it in a month or so i guess. In the mean time i have 3 more cars to haul in so i am going to use my buddies trailer to haul them but can only haul one at a time lol.But atleast i will be done hauling them in other than taking my cores and such in.

Things are picking up, I have been getting 2 cars a day for the past week
One was an 02 Escalade for $250.00> so far sold >> 34" wheels sold for $250.00, Front clip $300.00, Dash cluster and steering wheel for $125.00, both front doors for $150.00 and rear tail lamps have bids on ebay for $55.00 each
Has about $600.00 in RAS cores
That is the good news >> Now for the not so good

SO I saw my life flash before my eyes this afternoon

    I posted here >>
2008 F-350 SRW Brake Master Cylinder Sensor blow out question - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums

    2008 F350 SRW 4X4 V10 with 135K miles One owner

Going down the highway doing 65MPH with a 2 car trailer behind me with one car on it.
As I approach the exit there is a truck getting ready to merge onto the highway >> car in front of me getting ready to exit
They decide to pace each other >> and then
COMES TO A FULL STOP next to each other!!!

I do (or try to) a Panic stop
I get a mil a second of stopping THEN the pedal goes right to the bottom
Luckily there was no traffic to my left and I was able to swerve into the fast lane
I limped home using trailer brakes and took the truck to my mechanic
Looks like there are 2 sensors on the bottom of the Master Cylinder
    Forward one blew out

    Common Problem??
Can just the sensor be replaced or sensors come with the Master Cylinder?
Guessing this is a dealer owner part so I am stuck til Monday

Truck was an easy fix, just needed a new sensor installed and bleed the brakes
I was back on the road by noon today and only $250.00 lighter

It looks like they run from $4.34 ea to $52.79, some how mine came with free shipping. Taurus's only need lower ball joints, there is no replaceable uppers. So for around 10.00 you could have a pair.

    RockAuto Parts Catalog

Right now 2000 Taurus are running around $1200 - 1500 around here, average condition.
I paid $1200 for my 99' about 5 years ago.

Shame u don't want to fix them and try to resell them as whole cars. That's where the real money is. That and parting them out, more thoroughly. Barely any parts in your ebay store. Get a vehicle, search "ford explorer" in parts section of ebay, click used, click sold listings, sort by highest price first. There's your most valuable parts, you just have to sort it out the generation of of explorer you have. Like I said, shame; you're leaving a lot on the table. It's the difference between making a couple hundred off a vehicle or $1k or more off each. I know you don't have the land, for a "salvage" yard, but the money is moving toward that direction.

Not just the land, Mostly don't have the time
I have been doing as you suggested for YEARS >>

I almost always pull Tail Lights, Head Light assemblies, side mirrors >> depending on eBay sales sometimes also Climate control, Drivers door master switches and window motors.
I have at least 10 box's of these p[arts labeled with car and vin
    Just no time to list

And now I am back to no helper, He went to Wally World for $8.00 an hour before Mr Fica verses my straight $10.00
So now I am back to >> Cut Cat, Pull Aluminum wheels, Alternator and battery and off it goes. I also check RAS cores but only pull easy stuff that pays at least $5.00
Been getting 2 cars a day for the last week
Only 24 hours in a day and it seems as I get older I am awake for fewer and fewer of them
When I get up I have a BIG list of things I am going to do >> Then 3 / 4 o'clock rolls around and I am BEAT!
I use to start at 5AM and go thru to 10PM >> Now I am lucky to make it to 5

Anyone in the area that wants work at 10 an hour, give me a call
